As well as using a dynamic edit, high-quality footage, and amazing audio to improve the quality of your videos – you can also add text. Perfect for adding lower thirds, titles, or scripts for Facebook or TikTok – this is a very commonly used feature.
Adding text in HitFilm is super easy! To add basic text:
- In the Editor panel, select ‘New Clip’ and then ‘Text’ to add a new title.
- Start typing and you will see the text appear in the Viewer.
- When you’re done, don’t forget to change back to the Selection tool, as this allows you to move around the text if needed.
If you want to make further customizations to the text, come over to the Text panel. This gives you lots of options, including changing the font, size, color, and line spacing if you have more than one line. You also have the option to add outlines to the text; each of which has its own thickness and color options.
